Mapumba Cilombo is a versatile musician and producer with over two decades of professional experience in South Africa, operating between Cape Town and Johannesburg. He expertly blends Soul, Afropop, Folk, and Ambient genres, offering a unique and enriching sonic experience.
He is a multilingual vocalist who performs primarily in Swahili and English, incorporating other languages for artistic depth. Highly dedicated to the craft through continuous performance, recording, and music education, aiming to create moments that leave audiences with a lasting sense of well-being.


Tours
In the course of his career since 2000, Mapumba has toured locally and internationally as a featured artist on Putumayo Compilation CDs, and he has toured the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico. He has also performed in countries across Africa and in Europe.


Recordings

Other
From 2003 to 2008, Mapumba served as a freelance TV presenter for a travel magazine program called Studio 53. Within that period, he was also a continuity VJ on Channel 0 as a VJ. This field brought him voice-over work as a Swahili speaker, a French speaker, or an English speaker with an African accent.
